Community and Business Plan

In 2020, we commenced the exciting journey of developing what is our current Community Land and Business Plan (CLBP) 2020-2025. Our CLBP is the overarching tool that directs us to meet our core functions, the strategic objectives we set and promises we have made during this period. This was co-designed in consultation with all relevant stakeholders and ratified by our Board.

Each year we strive to:
  • Strengthen the Aboriginal families of our area, across all generations, by supporting culture and heritage, employment, and education and recreation.
  • Provide greater support and dignity to families at times of death.
  • Build stronger and broader relationships with like-minded organisations across our area.
  • Continue our focus on housing, education and employment.
  • Continue our focus on land claims and strategic land purchases.
  • Accelerate business development planning, particularly in relation to the four prioritised land projects and undertaking business activities in a professional, ethical and responsible way.
  • Maintain organisation and financial sustainability.

CL&BP (2020 - 2025)
“This Plan was co-designed between Walhallow Local Aboriginal Land Council and its Board, Members and our broader community. It reflects the aspirations and goals of each stakeholder as evidenced through recent consultations. It also builds on the success and lessons over the last 39 years of the organisation, our community and people as a whole.”

– Jason Allan, Chief Executive Officer.
