Thrive 365: A Community Yarn for Veterans’ Health Week

Picture
WLALC is proud to partner with the Australian Government Department of Veterans' Affairs, Benchmark Certified and the Quirindi RSL Sub-Branch to deliver Thrive 365: Connecting Mind, Culture, and Community as part of Veterans’ Health Week 2026.

This free community event will bring veterans, their families, and community members together for an afternoon of connection, reflection, and wellbeing. The event will begin with a Welcome to Country, followed by reflections on the history of veterans in the Liverpool Plains region, including the enduring contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander service men and women.

Participants will hear from the Quirindi RSL Sub-Branch on the importance of resilience, connection, and community in supporting veterans’ wellbeing. A relaxed Yarning Session over lunch will provide a culturally safe and inclusive space to share stories, strengthen relationships, and connect with local supports.

📅 Date: 18 February 2026
🕛 Time: 12:00pm – 3:00pm
📍 Location: Sugar Plum, 2 Station Street, Quirindi

All community members are warmly invited to attend. Lunch will be provided.
