Aboriginal Heritage Services

We provide Aboriginal heritage services which includes inspections and monitoring, assistance with archaeological work, and inductions as part of a development application consent.

Advocacy

We represent our Members and the community across the government, corporate and non-government sector to influence decisions of a political, economic and social nature and that impact or effect our people.

Community & Social Events

We run or host events in our community or rent infrastructure for businesses and groups to hold their next function.

Cultural Programs & Workshops

We deliver a suite of programs and workshops designed to provide individuals and organisations with a solid grounding in cultural competence and awareness.

Cultural Tourism

We deliver various cultural tourism activities (including guided tours around the Mooki) which showcase our rich and unique culture and heritage, people, community and vast landscape and historical sites.

Culture & Heritage Advice

We promote and protect all cultural and heritage matters in the region as the custodians who are connected to Country and culturally appropriate to do so.

Incursions & Excursions

We provide educational activities on school sites which complement the education system and curriculum outcomes.

CULTURE CENTRE

We have a purpose-built cultural centre to showcase art and which is used to exhibits, functions/ events and training.

Social Housing

We provide adequate and culturally appropriate housing to Aboriginal people living in the region.

LAND CLAIMS

We make claims to Crown lands and acquire, and manage, land on behalf of our Members and community under the New South Wales Land Rights Act, 1983 (ALRA).

Training & Development

We deliver and/ or partner with registered training organisations to provide cultural, educational, employment, learning, developmental, mentorship/ leadership and other technical or soft-skills opportunities to people or organisations. 

Welcome to Country

We provide Welcome to Country, performed by an Aboriginal custodian or Elder from Kamilaroi cultural group, officially and formally welcoming people on land.
